Fine Art: noun

  1. Visual art considered to be created primarily for aesthetic purposes and judged for its beauty and meaningfulness.
  2. An activity requiring great skill or accomplishment.
  3. The word ‘ fine’ does not so much denote the quality of the work but the purity of the discipline. Fine art is meant to stir the emotion of the viewer celebrating passion.

Mastery in multiple mediums gives me the ability to experiment with and offer a variety of fine art in oil painting, watercolor, pastel, mixed media, pouring, and forms of drawing including charcoal & conte. My mediums are as varied as I am and this variety allows me to keep a fresh perspective. Notice the beauty around; elements cloaked in light, color, shadows, and reflections create dramatic compositions. These natural compositions inspire my imagination, developing conceptually creative works, while intuitively grasping moments, memories, and emotion. This passion combined with my honed skill and commitment to use only the finest quality tools and supplies gives rise to my portrayal of fine art. The gift of art is my passionate creative outlet. My hope in sharing this gift with you, is to share joy and honor God!

Quality is one of my fundamental concerns creating art. I use only fine archival materials and tools to achieve original art that will last, with proper care, more than a lifetime.

Join me in an ever evolving artistic adventures!

He who works with his hands is a laborer. He who works with his hands & his head is a craftsman. He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist. – Francis of Assisi

A native Southern Californian, Martha’s art reflects moments in her life experiences and surroundings. Love of nature and the outdoors, an active and athletic lifestyle, travel, and a spiritual connection inspires her to live joyfully and thankfully in the moment while painting that which beautifully moves her. Martha and her husband have passed on this inherited way of life to their four uniquely gifted adult children. Our passions and talents are gifts from God. Self-taught in most disciplines, creative pursuits have always been a way of life. Oil painting, pastel, and charcoal were introduced to her as a means of rehabilitation from an injury in 2008. Driven by her joy and passion for these mediums, she attended Santiago Community College receiving an Associate in Arts Degree in Fine Art in 2011. She is honored to share her works of fine art with you.
